100 grams ripe bananas

Sodium metabisulfate (0.02% of ingredients' total weight)

4 tablespoons refined sugar
¼ teaspoon gelatinized cornstarch
¼ teaspoon calamansi juice

Procedure
1. Bananas should be washed, peeled, and chopped into small

2. Mix equal amounts of chopped pieces with sodium metabisulfate-containing water.

6. Cook, stirring continually, over a double boiler until a thick consistency 1S is attained and the basic reading in the double boiler reads 52'C.
7. Fill half-sealed bottles halfway with banana spread. Cook for 30 minutes in boiling water.
8. Bottles should be sealed and kept in a cool, dry area.
